Who we are

M&T Freight Logistics LLC ("M&T", "we", "us") is a licensed property broker registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration under USDOT 4566845 and docket MC-1815993. Our office is at 810 Molino Ave, Long Beach, CA 90804, United States.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us, request a quote, or set up as a carrier, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to mtfreightlog.com and to the phone, SMS and email channels we use to do business.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to broker freight. In practice that is:

  • Contact details — name, company name, business phone number, mobile phone number and email address.
  • Shipment details — pickup and delivery locations, commodity, temperature requirements, weight, dates and reference numbers.
  • Carrier compliance documents — motor carrier authority, W-9, certificates of insurance, notices of assignment and signed carrier packets.
  • Correspondence — the content of emails, text messages and call notes related to a quote, a load or a carrier setup.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, consumer credit reports, health information or biometric data. We are a business-to-business service and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

How we use it

We use the information above to:

  • Quote, book, dispatch and track freight;
  • Send load offers, rate confirmations, pickup and delivery updates, and document requests;
  • Verify a carrier's authority, insurance and safety record;
  • Invoice customers, pay carriers, and keep the accounting and compliance records that federal regulations require of a property broker;
  • Respond to questions you send us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for behavioral advertising or profiling.

Mobile numbers and SMS

If you give us a mobile number, we may text you about freight: load offers, pickup and delivery windows, check calls, and document requests. You choose to receive these messages — by giving us the number for that purpose, by replying to one of our messages, by signing a carrier packet or rate confirmation that lists the number, or by asking us to text you. You may also opt in on our quote request form, where consent is a separate, unchecked box and is never required to submit the form.

We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as our customer service or messaging platform provider, is permitted solely to deliver the messages you asked for. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

You can stop the messages at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

Opting out of text messages does not opt you out of phone calls or email, and it does not end any contract between us. Full messaging terms are on our Terms & SMS Policy page.

How we share it

Brokering a load means passing some information along. We share only what the job requires:

  • With the carrier hauling your freight — pickup and delivery addresses, contact names and phone numbers at those facilities, and the shipment details needed to run the load.
  • With the shipper or consignee — the carrier's name, driver contact and truck information for the load in question.
  • With service providers we rely on — our transportation management system, accounting software, email, telephony and messaging providers. They may only use the information to provide that service to us.
  • With a factoring company — when a carrier has assigned its receivables and provided a notice of assignment.
  • When the law requires it — in response to a subpoena, a regulatory request, an insurance claim, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone. As stated above, mobile numbers and SMS consent are excluded from all sharing other than the messaging provider that delivers the message.

Retention and security

Federal regulations require a property broker to keep a record of each transaction for at least three years. We keep shipment and carrier records for that period and as long after as our insurance, tax and accounting obligations require, then delete or archive them.

We protect information with access controls, encrypted connections and reputable hosted software. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

Your rights

You may ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

Write to info@mtfreightlog.com and we will respond within 45 days. We may need to keep records we are legally required to retain.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes to how we handle mobile numbers will be announced before they take effect.
